Batlow at 780m elevation is best known for its always spectacular alpine scenery (snowfalls in Winter) and cool climate fruit – a product of reliable rainfall and fertile soils. The town is located about an hour’s drive from Wagga Wagga (73,000) and 2 ½ hours drive from Canberra. The annual “Ciderfest” is a particularly successful attraction in its own right.
